It is with great regret that we pocket option must inform you that Stride has closed its doors. We lost a large federal grant that was so sudden and substantial that we were unable to recover or implement any counter measures to continue Stride’s operations. Our former staff and board worked diligently with the community and other nonprofits to ensure that the families affected by the funding cuts were re-housed and did not go back into homelessness. In an effort to maintain Stride we made several attempts to merge with another nonprofit or agency but to no avail. Without the ability to re-fund Stride or merge with another agency, the Board of Directors decided to dissolve the organization.
